● Kevin Franklin, CEO of 3t: “We are delighted to be launching Transform, which is revolutionising training through technology using cutting-edge integrated remote learning solutions. We have invested heavily into creating a scalable, multi-sector platform that solves one of the industry’s biggest problems – inefficiency in workforce management.”

AUGUST 4 2020 – Today, the world’s most technologically advanced, cloud-based training platform for the Energy sector, Transform, is being released to the market by the 3t Energy Group, the leading training provider to the energy industry.

Transform sees 3t expand from being a pure training provider to a group that now offers a truly tech-driven, integrated training solution that is set to revolutionise workforce competency, management, and training in the energy industry. On top of its world-leading training courses and state-of-the-art learning technology, 3t has created a specialist technology incubator within the Group that allows it to continue pushing the boundaries of Educational Technology in the market.

Transform is the fourth company in the 3t portfolio, alongside AIS, Survivex and Drilling Systems. 3t counts numerous leading international energy companies as clients across its offices in Europe, America, Middle East, and China. 3t’s technology is already being used by over 4,200 companies worldwide, while Transform will form part of the training services that 3t will be providing to Total E&P UK. Transform also recently won a substantial contract from a major Asian NOC.

The Transform Platform

Transform is the world’s most sophisticated and advanced workforce management and learning
platform. It solves some of the energy industry’s biggest problems: that without the right technology, workforce management and training can be inefficient, costly, time consuming and often ineffective.

Accessible online and offline, Transform’s dashboard allows companies to seamlessly track every detail of workforce and asset compliance from one central platform. This is a marked change from practices prevalent across the industry, with many companies still using various computers, systems and filing cabinets to manage their workforces. A short video introducing and explaining Transform can be viewed here.

Training and knowledge-retention has been dramatically affected by the Coronavirus pandemic, with many unable to continue their development without access to on-site resources. Transform helps remove those barriers, storing every bit of information and many training tools in the cloud, meaning professional development is achievable at all times.

Users can track progress and professional development to enhance safety, compliance, and performance. Individuals and companies can connect to training courses certified by the likes of the Engineering Construction Industry Training Board (ECITB), NEBOSH and IOSH, and 3t Energy Group’s own industry-accredited training courses.

Companies can tailor Transform’s software to create their own training pathways for delegates and can even upload bespoke guidance and questions. Delegates are able to track their progress on qualifications, while the platform automatically ‘matches’ them with the next course they must take for their professional development and where the closest training centre is.

Transform links companies and individuals to all of 3t’s tech-driven immersive learning technologies such as R3, a bite-sized learning app that increases knowledge retention, Virtual Reality Training, and Augmented Reality Learning, 3t’s interactive knowledge-testing platform, and Video Learning. All of these features help to considerably increase and improve delegates’ learning and competency, reducing time and money – and also emissions – spent on travelling to training centres to retake exams and courses. Transform can also integrate AIS’ and Survivex’s industry-leading training programmes and Drilling Systems’ simulators into its service and can create 3D models of clients’ own sites and equipment for training purposes.

Transform has been pioneered by its CEO Paul Stonebanks OBE, one of the UK’s foremost entrepreneurs and also President of 3t Energy Group. Paul was awarded an OBE for Services to the Offshore and Renewable sectors in 2016, having grown numerous businesses from scratch to become one of the leading names in the global energy training sector.

Paul Stonebanks says: “Cutting-edge technology is in our DNA and by using that, Transform is already helping companies improve compliance assurance, as well as making employees safer, smarter and more efficient.”

“Transform uses 3t’s portfolio of blended learning technologies – the world’s largest – to drastically improve knowledge retention. That has been scientifically proven and is already changing workforce management and training across the industry.”

“Transform’s cloud-based platform can be used by any sector – not just Energy – to drive significant efficiencies in travel, accommodation and other training related costs.”

“We also have a ‘marketplace’ solution for training providers, where we share our technologies with them to drive efficiencies the industry desperately needs.”

“The disruption caused by the Coronavirus has helped companies focus on their digital strategies, and we know some companies are using Transform to shape that. Using Transform, clients are conducting classroom elements remotely and are sending competency evidence back to our assessor and verifier teams.”

“In China, for example, we have carried out a range of training and competency requirements – we achieved this by combining all our technologies, including our ground-breaking integrated simulation tools, that assured further compliance and has led to more significant contract wins.”

Mark Corrigan, Chairman of 3t Energy Group, which is backed by Blue Water Energy, the experienced energy investment firm, adds: “Our global customer base has been calling out for a centralised, accessible platform to significantly improve the efficiency of their workforce management. We’ve listened to them, and have delivered Transform, a cutting-edge yet flexible, customisable and simple to use platform.”

“Developing Transform was the obvious next step in the rapid growth of the 3t offering and builds on our internationally renowned training solutions offered by AIS, Survivex and Drilling Systems.”

“We are also now perfectly placed to look at how our new specialist technology hub, centred on Transform, and our expertise in delivering industry-leading training systems, can be expanded into other industries. It is ready for use with any sector.”
