KSJV Announces exciting new contract on Wheatstone Project

Kentech Australia Pty Ltd is pleased to announce that its LNG focussed joint venture, KSJV, has secured a contract with Bechtel, an international gas service company headquartered in the USA, for the provision of electrical and instrumentation installation services for the downstream portion of the Wheatstone LNG processing facility.

Work commenced on site in early 2016 and will be performed on a cost reimbursable basis.

KSJV is a 50:50 joint venture between Southern Cross Electrical Engineering (SCEE) and Kentech.

About Wheatstone:

The Chevron-operated Wheatstone Project is one of Australia’s largest resource projects. Located at Ashburton North, 12 kilometres west of Onslow in Western Australia, The Wheatstone Project is a joint venture between the Australian subsidiaries of Chevron, Apache, Kuwait Foreign Petroleum Exploration Company and Shell and Kyushu Electric Power Company. The Initial phase of the project will consist of two liquefied natural gas trains with a combined capacity of 8.9 million tonne per annum and a domestic gas plant.
