KENTECH TAKES OVER MAINTENANCE CONTRACT IN THE NETHERLANDS

16 September 2015

Following the recent news that Royal Imtech N.V. has been declared bankrupt, Kentech is pleased to announce that we have signed a contract with the trustees of Imtech B.V. to acquire the operational interests for the Shell Permis and Shell Moerdijk sites in The Netherlands.

Kentech has now taken over the maintenance and operations works that were previously being executed by Imtech B.V. and will ensure the continuity of safe operations for Shell on both of these critical facilities. This will result in the preservation of many jobs as we integrate circa 180 new employees into the global Kentech team plus a further c.200 contractors. The works comprise of civil, mechanical, piping, electrical, instrument and telecommunication works on a long term contract basis.

In addition to giving Kentech a foothold in the Netherlands, this acquisition will further expand Kentech’s relationship with Shell in Sakhalin, Russia and Ras Laffan, Qatar. The acquisition of these contracts gives further testament to Kentech’s operational strength and the fact that we work closely with our clients to provide quality and safe services from construction through to commissioning, startup, ongoing operations, maintenance and brownfield services.

We look forward to sharing more news on our expansion and growth in the near future.
