BLUEWATER SELLS EDGE LNG AFTER 8 YEARS OF STEWARDSHIP
- Bluewater have closed the deal to sell Texas-headquartered Edge LNG to Sapphire Gas Solutions.

- The company has now expanded its customers base across a broad set of industrial applications and now has the largest mobile LNG production by capacity in Texas

London, 27th August 2026 – Bluewater, the specialist energy private equity firm, has today closed the deal to sell LNG distribution business, Edge LNG, to Sapphire Gas Solutions.
The Texas headquartered Sapphire Gas Solutions is a leading provider of LNG and CNG solutions across the entire United States and was recently purchased by US infrastructure-focused PE firm, Antin Infrastructure Partners.
Bluewater established Edge LNG in November 2018, and invested into the business as part of its second fund (BWE Fund II). During its stewardship Edge LNG has grown to provide an end-to-end LNG solutions for remote industrial and energy-infrastructure markets, encompassing gas processing, liquefaction, transportation, storage and on-site re-gasification
The company was one of the first LNG distributors of its kind in the US and expanded its customer base across a broad set of industrial applications in the last eight years. After moving its operations to a central Permian Basin location, it is now one of the largest mobile LNG production by capacity in Texas.
