John Kennedy1 is a highly experienced and respected industry leader within the energy sector and has been a member of our Industrial Partners Board since the inception of Bluewater. He has held a succession of senior positions over his 50-year career, which includes over three decades in progressively senior roles at Schlumberger and Halliburton.During his subsequent years as a business entrepreneur in the energy sector he enjoyed success as an investor/operator with companies such as Wellstream International, Vetco, Lamprell and Bifold.
He led the buy-out of WellStream International in 2003 and acted as its Executive Chairman through its successful IPO in 2007. He also led the buy-out of Vetco International from ABB in 2006. He co-founded energy services company Integra Group in 2005 and served as a director until 2012 and is a former advisor and director with both Subsea 7 and Heerema Group. John has also over the years held Board positions with several companies in the international energy sector and acted as an advisor and strategic consultant to several more.
