Bluewater Staff Run for Ukrainian Children

13 September 2022

A group of Bluewater colleagues pulled on their running shoes to take part in a special charity event – and raised cash to help vulnerable children in war-torn Ukraine.  The 14-strong team took part in the JP Morgan Corporate Challenge, a 5.6km run in London’s Battersea Park in July, in aid of UNICEF’s Ukraine Crisis appeal.

Our Charity Committee pledged to sponsor each Bluewater runner who took part to the tune of £1,000 – and the money could benefit young people in Ukraine in areas ranging from educational resources to clean water.

“The challenge presented an opportunity for us to offer support for a cause which is at the forefront of our minds at present, and hopefully it will help to make a difference for children suffering in such terrible circumstances,” says Chairman of the Charity Committee, Jerker Johannsson.

UNICEF works in more than 190 countries and territories in the world’s toughest places to reach the children and young people in greatest need.

Good work by our team on behalf of an important cause that’s on the minds of many people at the moment.
